Canva makes it incredibly easy to design beautiful graphics, but also incredibly easy to accidentally subscribe to their Pro tier. Because their 30-day Free Trial often defaults to an annual billing cycle, forgetting to cancel essentially costs you $120.
How to Cancel Canva Pro via Web Browser
If you gave your credit card directly to Canva (not through the iOS App Store), follow these steps to downgrade your account to Canva Free to permanently stop the billing.
Log into Canva
Navigate to Canva.com and ensure you are logged into the correct Workspace that contains your Pro tools.
Open Account Settings
Click your profile icon or the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner of the dashboard to open your account settings.
Navigate to Billing & Plans
On the left-hand navigation menu, select Billing & plans.
Click Cancel Plan
Under the 'Subscriptions' section, find your active Canva Pro plan. Click the three horizontal dots (...) next to the plan name and select Cancel plan.
Canva will likely offer to "Pause" your subscription for three months instead. Make sure to reject this and click through until you receive the "Your plan has been cancelled" confirmation. You will retain Pro access until the end of your billing cycle.
How to Cancel via iOS App Store / Google Play
If you originally purchased the Pro upgrade inside the Canva mobile app, Canva.com will not let you cancel. You must cancel through Apple or Google's native services.
- iPhone/iPad: Open Settings > Tap your Apple ID (top) > Tap Subscriptions > Select Canva > Tap Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Open Google Play Store > tap your Profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Select Canva > Tap Cancel.
