How to Fully Deactivate Your HelloFresh Account
While you can use the mobile app, we highly recommend using a desktop web browser to prevent the app caching your active status incorrectly.
Log In to Account Settings
Go to HelloFresh.com and log in. Click your name in the upper-right corner and select Account Settings from the dropdown.
Locate the Status Section
Scroll down to the bottom of the Plan Settings page until you find the Status submenu.
Click Cancel Plan
Click on the Cancel Plan button. Do not click 'Skip a Week' unless you actually plan on returning.
Bypass the Retention Screens
HelloFresh will show you multiple frantic screens offering deep discounts to stay. You must keep selecting "Cancel anyway" or "Continue to cancel" until you see a final confirmation screen. If you abandon this flow halfway, your account remains active.
Alternative: Skipping a Box Instead of Canceling
If you're just going on vacation and genuinely want to keep your subscription active later, you can skip individual weeks.
- Log into your account and navigate to My Menu.
- Select the upcoming week that you want to skip.
- Click Edit Delivery and choose "Skip Week."
Again, this must be done before the 11:59 PM PST 5-day cutoff.
