Hulu is one of the most frustrating streaming services to cancel. Because Hulu is frequently bundled with Disney+, offered via Verizon, or attached to Amazon Prime, the "Cancel" button often vanishes from the Hulu website if you are being billed by someone else.
We're going to break down exactly how to find who is billing you, so you can successfully stop auto-renewal.
Step 1: Figure Out Who Is Billing You
If you don't know whether you paid Hulu directly with a credit card or through Apple/Amazon/Roku, you need to check your billing provider first.
- Go to hulu.com/account on a web browser and log in.
- Scroll down slightly to the Payment Information section.
- Look at the name listed. If it says "Billed by Apple," "Billed by Roku," or "Billed by Verizon", you cannot cancel on Hulu.com. You must use the third-party methods further down this page.
If it shows your credit card directly, you can cancel right now using Method 1.
Method 1: Cancel Hulu Directly (Credit Card/PayPal)
Navigate to Hulu.com/account
You cannot use the mobile app or your smart TV for this step. You must use a web browser like Chrome or Safari.
Scroll to the very bottom
Past your plan details, past the Add-ons, all the way to the bottom. Look for the "Cancel Your Subscription" setting.
Click "Cancel"
Hulu will immediately offer to "Pause" your subscription instead. Instead of accepting, click Continue to Cancel.
Hulu may ask you for feedback on why you are leaving. Complete the exit survey until you reach the final confirmation screen showing your end date.
Method 2: Cancel Through a Third-Party Biller
If your Hulu Account page informed you that a third-party is in charge of your billing, here is where you need to go to stop payments:
Billed by Apple (App Store)
- Open your iPhone Settings app.
- Tap your name / Apple ID at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Find Hulu in your list and tap Cancel Subscription.
Billed by Google Play (Android)
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Tap Hulu and click Cancel subscription.
Billed by Roku
- Turn on your Roku device and go to the Home screen.
- Hover over the Hulu app icon using your remote.
- Press the Star (*) Button on your remote.
- Select Manage subscription → Cancel subscription.
Billed by Amazon
- Log into Amazon.com.
- Navigate to Account & Lists at the top right.
- Click Memberships & Subscriptions.
- Find Hulu and select "Cancel Subscription".
What About the Disney Bundle?
If you subscribe to the Disney Bundle (Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+), canceling depends entirely on where you set it up. If you initiated the bundle through Hulu, you can cancel it via Hulu's Account page using Method 1. If you created it on DisneyPlus.com, you must log into Disney+ to cancel the entire bundle.

Why don't I have a cancel button on my Hulu account?
If you don't see a "Cancel Your Subscription" section at the bottom of the Hulu account page, you are being billed by a third party (like Apple, Roku, or Amazon). Check the "Payment Information" section at the top of the Hulu account page to see exactly who is managing the charge.
How do I cancel Hulu Live TV but keep regular Hulu?
From your Hulu Account page on the web, click Manage Plan. Toggle off the Live TV package by removing it, and toggle ON the standard "Hulu (With Ads)" or "Hulu (No Ads)" plan. Review your changes and submit.
Can I get a refund if I forgot to cancel Hulu?
Hulu’s official policy states that subscriptions are non-refundable. If you were recently charged and haven't watched anything, you can try opening a support chat on help.hulu.com, but refunds are very rarely granted.
